Park opens for 2010 season April 17

I'd rather be riding the Racer on a warm summer day at Kings Island than looking at a picture of this John Allen masterpiece with the tracks covered in snow. But, it won't be long before you'll be able to ride the Racer, Beast, Diamondback and all of the other world-class rides Kings Island has to offer again. Mark your calendar now! Opening Day at Kings Island for the 2010 season is April 17.

Diamondback slithers way up steel coaster charts

Diamondback gave more than 1.8 million rides in its debut season in 2009, and in the process slithered its way up the steel roller coaster charts in popularity.

In Arthur Levine's "About.com: Theme Parks" review of roller coasters, the tallest, fastest and meanest roller coaster to ever strike Kings Island ranked third in the steel coaster category ahead of perennial favorites.
