Kings Island cuts prices on 2010 season passes

Kings Island is rewarding its most loyal guests by slashing prices on 2010 season passes with a four-day renewal sale.

A 2010 Kings Island Gold pass will cost $69.99 for guests that renew their 2009 season pass, a savings from last year of $20 for an individual and $80 for a family of four. A guest must visit the park on one of the following dates and show their 2009 season pass to take advantage of the four-day renewal sale: September 7, September 25, September 26 and September 27.

All season passes that are renewed during the four-day period will automatically be upgraded to Gold at no additional charge, providing the guest with free season-long parking – a savings of $39.99 per family – along with a number of VIP benefits such as early rides every day on the Diamondback and Beast roller coasters, early entry into the 15-acre Boomerang Bay waterpark and a reserved parking area.

“Our renewal offer is a way of helping families cut back on expenses without comprising family fun and entertainment,” said Matt Shafer, director of marketing at Kings Island. “When all is said and done, the average family will save more than $100 by taking advantage of this deal.”

Labor Day, September 7 will be the best of the four renewal sale days to visit and lock in this deal for next year, Shafer said.

Kings Island 2010 season passes (Regular, Gold and Platinum) go on sale September 4. There is no increase on any season pass price for next year. A few areas, including Regular adult passes and Platinum four-packs, are priced lower than last year at this time.

Beginning September 4, all 2010 season pass options can be purchased at the park on public operating days and hours through November 1. Season passes can also be purchased by phone toll free at (800) 288-0808 or online at www.visitkingsisland.com.
